This event, organized by the International Society for Optics and Photonics, covers all areas of advanced technology for the Photonics,  Biophotonics and Laser Industry. Traditionally, the SPIE Photonics West 2012 will be held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, California, USA,  during 21 - 26 January 2012.

Dr. Piotr Wilinski, Ammono’s Sales and Marketing Director will present an invited talk entitled “Growth and applications of ammonothermal bulk GaN substrates”. It will take place at the SPIE Photonics West 2012 in the Session 8: GaN Fundamentals, date: Monday 23 January, time: 12:00 PM - 12:20 PM

The background of the talk will be an attempt to answer the question of whether the Gallium Nitride opens new horizons for modern optoelectronics and electronics and do the technological parameters of devices can be boosted by the use of truly bulk Gallium Nitride wafers.
